Artist Statement: My inspiration comes from life experiences and how I interpret them. There are sacred spaces that have brought me to my knees when I entered and made me feel like my heart and soul are wide open and nothing about me is secret. My goal, when working with clients, is to make sure they are left with feelings they didn’t have before entering a room where my glasswork is installed. Glass is my medium. The play of light on it, how sun affects the colors and textures throughout the day, the story told within, and the feeling derived from it cannot be duplicated by any other source. With 25 years of experience, when designing/fabricating new windows, repairing/restoring old stained glass, sandblasting, or creating a mosaic design, I am inspired by the people I am working with and the journey they are on. Their project will be a reflection of who they are... communicating their beliefs, expressing themselves without words.
