Crushed Glass: Colorado

This is a crushed glass fused panel taken from a photo of my trip home from Colorado. While traveling with my cousin, we stopped by the side of the road to put some snowballs in the coolor for my 3 small boys waiting for me at home. The snowballs didn't quite make it, but the memor of this beautiful scene did. This is created using my crushed glass technique where layers upon layer of glass is added in the kiln, then fired in the kiln before soldering it together into the finished panel with a beveled glass border. These pieces are absoultely beautiful with light shining through.
