Crushed Glass: Evergreen In The Fall

This is a crushed glass fused panel taken from a photo taken while in upper Michigan in the Fall while celebrating my wedding anniversary with my husband. The bushes were a brilliant red and the evergreen stood out among them. This is created using my crushed glass technique where layers upon layer of glass is added in the kiln, then fired in the kiln before soldering it together into the finished panel. Beveled glass surrounds the central design. Layers of glass fused to a high heat give the glass a multi-layered effect. These pieces are absoultely beautiful with light shining through.
